High-Strength Polyester Spunbond Needle-Punched Roofing Carrier
Our Polyester Spunbond Needle-Punched Roofing Carrier is manufactured from high-grade polyester filaments using a one-step spunbond + needle-punched process to form uniform, high-strength mats. It is designed specifically as a carrier and reinforcement layer for SBS/APP modified bitumen membranes, delivering excellent impregnation, tear resistance and dimensional stability during roofing membrane production and in-service life.
● High tensile strength & tear resistance — supports converting processes and handling during membrane lamination.
● Excellent impregnation & coating uptake — enables uniform bitumen penetration for stronger membrane bonding.
● Dimensional stability (low shrinkage at high temperature) — maintains membrane performance during heat processing.
● Wide range of grammages — commonly available from ~120–300 g/m² (custom weights available on request).
● Optional reinforcement — fiberglass scrim or unidirectional/bidirectional scrims can be bonded to improve process stability and mechanical performance.
● Good aging & weather resistance — polyester fibers resist hydrolysis and ageing better than some alternatives, extending service life.
● Carrier for SBS / APP bituminous roofing membranes (flat & pitched roofs).
● Underlayment / roofing felt where tear resistance and coating compatibility are required.
